Dr Rajendra Sahoo is a Senior Consultant Anesthesiologist and Pain Specialist. He did MD Anesthesiology from Grant Medical College, Mumbai followed by Regional Anesthesia and acute pain management fellowship from Ganga Hospital. Because of his interest and passion in the field of Chronic Pain management, Dr Sahoo pursued Fellowship in Pain Medicine from the renowned Toronto Western Hospital, University of Toronto, Canada. Apart from that, he is certified in Ultrasound guided Pain and Musculoskeletal injection techniques from two world-renowned organizations- World Institute of Pain, and American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. He is the only Indian Pain Physician to have dual Ultrasound certification. Dr Sahoo specializes in Chronic pain management for back, neck pain, joint pain, cancer pain, headache, facial pain, neuropathic pain, non-surgical treatment for pain from disc prolapse and many musculoskeletal pain. He is also skilled and proficient in advanced pain therapies like Radiofrequency ablation, neurolytic block, intrathecal catheters and neuromodulation. Dr Sahoo performs all his pain interventions/injections under X-ray and Ultrasound. In addition to the above, he also performs various regional nerve blocks under ultrasound to provide pain relief following surgery which can potentially reduce the persistent postoperative pain. On academic front, Dr Sahoo has been a faculty at many National and International level Anesthesia and Pain conferences and workshops. He has taught various Ultrasound guided Pain management techniques at Boston, Toronto, and many national meetings. He has publications in national and international journals in the field of pain medicine and anesthesia. His hobbies include music, table tennis and hiking.
