Dr. Anurag Das is a highly skilled Orthopaedic Surgeon and Senior Consultant at Healthworld Hospitals, with over 11 years of clinical experience in managing complex orthopaedic conditions. He specializes in complex trauma, deformity correction, limb lengthening and reconstruction, with a strong focus on advanced limb preservation and restoration techniques.
He holds an MBBS degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and an MS in Orthopaedics from BSMCH, Bankura (WBUHS). Dr. Das has undergone advanced fellowship training in Reconstructive Orthopaedics and Ilizarov Surgery from the Centre for Limb Lengthening & Limb Reconstruction, Mumbai, one of India’s premier centers for deformity correction. He has also completed the AO Trauma Advanced Course, further strengthening his expertise in trauma care.
Dr. Das is among the very few surgeons in India with hands-on experience in using the magnetic Precice Nail for internal limb lengthening. His areas of expertise include software-based 6-axis deformity correction using Ilizarov techniques, management of infected and non-infected non-unions, malunions, neglected fractures, knee preservation and realignment procedures, limb lengthening (therapeutic and cosmetic) and complex reconstruction surgeries.
An active academician, Dr. Das has served as national faculty for multiple Ilizarov and deformity correction workshops and regularly participates in national conferences.
