Dr. Akanksha Verma is a highly accomplished Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with extensive experience in managing routine to complex gynaecological and obstetric conditions. She currently serves as Senior Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Healthworld Hospitals, Asansol and is known for her patient-centric, evidence-based clinical approach.
BS (Hons.) from Bangalore Medical College, followed by MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from B.J. Government Medical College & Sassoon General Hospitals, Pune, and DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She has also cleared MRCOG Part 1 and holds advanced certifications in ultrasound, gynaecological endoscopy, infertility management and robotic surgery.
Dr. Verma brings rich academic and clinical experience, having worked as Assistant Professor and Senior Resident at B.J. Government Medical College, Pune and as Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and Director at Shree Ashtavinayak Hospital, Deoghar. Her expertise spans high-risk obstetrics, laparoscopic and vaginal surgeries, endometriosis management, infertility care and comprehensive women’s health services.
An active academician, Dr. Verma has multiple national and international publications, award-winning research presentations, and has been invited as faculty at prestigious conferences including AICOG, FOGSI, and state-level OBGYN forums. She currently serves as Chairperson, Endometriosis Committee, Deoghar Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society and is a life member of FOGSI, ISAR and IMA.
Her clinical interests include High-Risk Pregnancy Management, Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, Vaginal & Uterine-Preserving Surgeries, Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Procedures, ensuring holistic and advanced care for women across all stages of life.
