Dr. Devdeep Mukherjee [MBBS (Hons), DCH (gold medal), MRCPCH (UK), FRCPCH (UK), Fellowship in neonatal and pediatric critical care (UK) ] – is a dedicated pediatrician and neonatologist with extensive experience in the care of newborns, infants and children. He has a strong clinical focus on neonatal intensive care, preterm care and the management of pediatric emergencies.
Dr. Mukherjee is committed to delivering evidence-based, compassionate and family-centered care in both resource-rich and resource-limited settings.
He has worked across leading tertiary-care hospitals in UK and India, managing complex neonatal conditions including extreme prematurity, congenital anomalies and varied pediatric emergencies. Dr. Mukherjee has a special interest in improving outcomes in high-risk newborns through early diagnosis, advanced neonatal interventions and structured follow-up programs. He has an active interest in antibiotic stewardship and infection control measures.
An active contributor to academic medicine and research, he regularly conducts training sessions for pediatric and neonatal nurses, participates in community awareness programs, and has more than 50 publications in indexed international and national pediatric and neonatal journals. His commitment to teaching and quality improvement reflects his passion for strengthening pediatric and neonatal care at the community level. He is also an examiner for the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health, UK.
