Mr. Rishav Shukla serves as the Head of the Department – Physiotherapy at Healthworld Hospitals, Asansol, bringing over 7 years of extensive clinical and institutional experience in advanced physiotherapy and rehabilitation care. With a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (Orthopedics), he leads the department with a strong focus on evidence-based practice, patient-centric rehabilitation and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Under his leadership, the Department of Physiotherapy at Healthworld Hospitals has evolved into a comprehensive rehabilitation unit catering to orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, sports injury and chronic pain conditions for patients from Asansol, Durgapur, Burnpur, Raniganj and nearby regions.
Mr. Shukla is a Certified Manual Therapist, Certified Kinesio-Taping Practitioner and Chiropractic Therapy Practitioner, enabling him to design customized treatment protocols that ensure faster recovery, improved mobility and long-term functional independence. His clinical expertise spans both inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy services, ensuring continuity of care across all stages of recovery.
As HOD, he plays a pivotal role in developing rehabilitation protocols, training physiotherapy teams and nursing staff and educating healthcare professionals on the effective use of therapeutic modalities. His leadership ensures high standards of safety, clinical excellence and patient satisfaction within the department.
He has undergone comprehensive clinical training across multiple specialties including Orthopedics, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Pediatrics and Rehabilitation Medicine, making him adept at managing complex and multidisciplinary rehabilitation cases.
In addition to clinical practice, Mr. Shukla has been actively involved in academic teaching, case discussions and journal presentations and has completed a thesis on Manual Therapy (Maitland Concept), reflecting his commitment to continual learning and advancement in physiotherapy sciences.
